Name: Shirou Ogami
Canon: Brand New Animal
Canon Point: Episode 12 - Anima City, Epilogue.
Age: 1000+
Appearance: Human form. Beastman. Third Form
Abilities:
Superior sense of smell - Shirou can track any scent to their source. He sees the person's path through the city as if he were walking with them. Up close if he's tracking a scent he can pick up other scents on that person. When taking the scent of an object he can track where it is in a city and how many. It's a lot like catching a psychic imprint. BNA has some really weird mechanics. We can freely fudge this skill. Or screw him up with it. Maybe a scent could overload him and knock him out. Or he just plain loses it (I will have a permission post for what he can and can't scent of a person regardless of if he keeps this entirely or not.)
Beastman - Beastmen in Brand New Animal have a unique dna that allows them to shift back and forth between their beast man shape and their human one. They're faster and stronger than the average human being.
But they have a fatal flaw within them when stress reaches a critical limit. Called the Nirvasyl Syndrome, beastmen transform into berserk beasts that rage out of control, killing anything in their path. Shirou as of his canon point is immune to this.
Shirou has taken on stronger beastmen and come out on top, shattering horns and antlers. The reason a wolf can taken on damn near anything with his fists is covered below.
Silver Wolf - When the city of Nirvasyl was slaughtered, the collected blood and will of the beastmen transformed Shirou into an immortal Beastman of great power. When he transforms into Silver wolf a full animal shaped beast form, he's even stronger and faster than his beastman form. His body seemingly bends to his will, his shoulders becoming blades or wings. Regeneration is instant when he's Silver Wolf and when he focuses his power into his roar or through his mouth the results are devastating.
It's important to note even in his usual beastman form he's stronger and faster than the average beastman.
It's been shown he can consciously take his usual beastman form with this power shining within him, but he only used it once. I can set a high cost for using Silver Wolf form if requested.
Immortality/Durability - Shirou's usually functionally immortal, I want that shut down entirely both because it breaks things and I want him to be off kilter. Fast regeneration, so he recovers in weeks or days vs months is fine. I don't want him totally cut off from what he knows.
(Optional) Personality:
Shirou Ogami is a man driven by past tragedy and the scars of it linger in every action he takes. Functionally immortal, he lacks a fear of death and will charge right into the fray because he can't die. He takes on tasks alone to keep others from harm.
He does what he must for the sake of protecting his people but if given a path, he will pick the last violent one if he can. At one point he almost assassinates a girl because she couldn't be allowed to trigger another tragedy. Yet he backs off when a better less violent way is presented. Shirou's learned in his long life that violence while effective isn't the best way. Even revenge is something that only leaves people empty.
But his anger over the past has left him jaded towards humans and comes up hot and fast. He jumps to conclusions quickly and acts on his thoughts, not bothering to see the grey areas. When he is confronted about his own bias once he nearly goes berserk because of his deep well of rage he has never fully dealt with. But that's not who Shirou wants to be.
The moment he felt his rage reaching critical he froze in shock. And in the distant past after slaughtering a facility down to the last man, he chose to consciously keep his powers locked up behind a collar. He doesn't like to hurt others and will show mercy unless there is no other choice.
He has been a lone fighter for so long that's what he defaults to automatically. But as help is offered to him and he's treated like a person with feelings...he begins to change. He comes to rely on others and wants those people to stay in his life. As of his canon point, Shirou asks the closest thing he has to a best friend what they want to do and where they're going.
While he still struggles to deal with his own hatred, he is coming to a point where he can consciously change and move past it. One day, he will become a true protector of those who cry out for help. He has all the time in the world to change and grow into the man he wishes to be.
